Notable Equipment
- 1 frying or cast-iron pan OR
- foil
Ingredients
- 1 med-large apple, any type
- 2 tbsps butter
- 3 tbsps dulce de leche
- 2 tbsps shredded coconut
Instructions
- Slice apple into 8 slices (or as close to as possible).Â
If cooking on a frying pan:
- Melt 2 tbsps of butter in frying over medium heat. Add apples; with one of the flesh sides facing down.
- Let cook for 4-5 minutes; flip to other flesh side and cook for another 4-5 minutes. Apple is done when slightly soft.Â
- Pour dulce de leche on top and sprinkle with coconut. Add more to taste preference.Â
If cooking in foil:
- Combine slices and butter in a folded foil.
- Cook over medium heat for 8-10 minutes; shake half way through. Apple is done when slightly soft.  Â
- Pour dulce de leche on top and sprinkle with coconut. Add more to taste preference.Â
Notes
- If cooking on a pan, rinse pan immediately after removing apples to avoid a hardened, sticky coating on the pan. You may want to warm up some water in the pan to help remove.Â
