Native to: Mediterranean and Western Asia
Top 3 nutrients: protein, fiber, carbs
Roasted green peas can typically be found in either the snack aisle or international aisles in grocery stores. They also sell them at Bulk Barn.Â

Native to: Middle East
Top 3 nutrients: protein, fiber, carbs
Roasted chickpeas can also typically be found in either the snack aisle or international aisles in grocery stores. I recommend plain or sea salt flavoured.Â
It’s also easy to make them at home with an oven, air-fryer or dehydrator.Â
Top 3 nutrients: carbs, iron, fiber
My favourite choice is the sesame sticks from Bulk Barn, but any sesame cracker will work just as well!
Native to: Mesoamerica (corn)
Top 3 nutrients: carbs, fiber, protein
Feel free to use salted or unsalted corn nuts.Â
Native to: South East Asia (bananas)

Banana chips are easy to find, but if you have a dehydrator, I highly recommend making your own banana chips! They’re healthier and provide the best flavour.Â
