Dried Balsamic Strawberries

These are fantastic on their own as a snack, or are an awesome topping for a salad. Super simple. Super delicious.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup strawberries (about 8-10 whole), sliced
  • tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp white sugar optional - see notes

Instructions

  • 1. Slice strawberries into approx ¼″ thick slices
  • 2. If using sugar, sprinkle sugar on strawberries, stir, cover and let macerate for 30 mins (skip this step if not using sugar) 
  • 3. Pour balsamic vinegar over strawberries, stir, cover and let sit for 30 – 45 minutes. Stir halfway through. 
  • 4. Place strawberries on dehydrating tray and dehydrate at 135℉ for about 6 hours

Notes

  • Using sugar will make the strawberries more sweet, chewy and candy like; I personally prefer without
