Who said finer dining couldn’t happen in the woods? The sweetness of pears and the acidity of balsamic will have you wanting to gobble down the whole thing yourself. Make sure to pack some crackers or bread to enjoy this creamy concoction. COOKING METHOD: Campfire, Grill, Camping Stove
1. Place brie cheese in centre of cast iron pan or on sheet of foil.
2. Slice pear into about ¼" thick slices. Place on top and around the cheese.
3. Drizzle balsamic glaze over cheese and surrounding pears
4. Sprinkle brown sugar and walnuts on top.
5. Cook over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes (see notes if cooking over campfire). Cheese will break and start to run when ready; pears will be soft and slightly browned.
If using foil, you’ll need to place on top of a broiler. Help contain the heat by making a tent with foil - don't wrap the cheese or allow the foil to sit directly on top.
Notes
You can use any type of pear, although I find bartletts have a more sweet and juicy flavour
