Full Moon Backpacking (1 night 2 days) Guided trip

About this event

Join a guide and a fun group on this FULL MOON backpacking trip. It is designed for beginner backpackers, the hike will be 10.5km into our site. This is on a nice, wide, mostly flat fire road. (ask me if you are unsure ) A training video will be provided to all registered to answer any questions about backpacking. This is a small group, it leaves time for hands on help from your guide. The focus will be on having fun, making friends and enjoying the full moon experience. This event leaves lots of free time for quiet reflection, connection with others and rest. The camping location has no facilities and NO cell service. Beside an alpine lake, under the shadow of Warden rock in the full light of the harvest moon. Enjoy the full moon at our campsite.

This is not a campground, we will need to make camp. There is no cell service and no facilities. Be prepared for a fully immersive experience in nature.

*You will be required to buy a Public land camping permit- You will be required to carry this with you.*

Included: Experienced guide ,packing list and help, First aid. All training included. A seminar before we go, so you know what and how to pack and what to expect. Once you are registered you get access to that online event and packing list. Assistance through every step of the process. I have lightweight, tents, stoves, and sleeping bags, shared bear bags for your use.

Participants must provide: Personal Gear, Food. Transportation to the trailhead. (maps and directiosn will be sent to you) There will be gear provided by your guide, but some items may need to be bought/ rented or borrowed. We STRONGLY recommend lightweight backpacking gear. You weill need a backpack or I can arrange a rental. (Your guide will reach out to confirm the gear you need to borrow) Please dress warm and plan for a cool evening and overnight.

Itinerary:

Backpacking 101- online seminar – This is a pre recorded seminar that will be sent to you at registration. I ask that you review it fully.

Day 1- 9am meet at trailhead. (8:30 if you are borrowing gear need to pack it)

10 km hike into our camp spot. Lunch on the trail. There is no “formal” campground a 2 locations that would work for our group.

Camp set up- Learning about where and how to set up tents/ sleeping set up.

Learning about water filtration, Bear bag set up. Leave no trace principals.

Supper- Camp stoves and re-hydrating food hands on!

Relaxation, enjoying company and a fire!! Feel free to bring a beverage of your choice.

Stay up late or wake up to enjoy the full moon! Quiet reflection or any way you choose to celebrate. (There will be NO hiking in the dark on this trip)

Day 2.

Coffee, Breakfast, time at the lake, yoga, stretching or meditation and to visit with your group. …. There is time for any of these activities that you may be interested in.

Leisurely, pack up camp and hike out. (10.5km)

Cancellation Policy:

Please do not attend if you have Covid symptoms or have been in close contact with a Covid case. Refunds can only be done 30 days out or more. We do not cancel for weather. We go rain or shine unless it is dangerous conditions. Please expect and pack for colder temperatures at night.
